Currently the term social responsibility has been in evidence and is noted the increasing interest of companies in participating in social projects. However, Seara has acted responsibly and consciously in order to improve the social environment around it for many years. Solidarity actions are performed periodically to support initiatives and diversified socio-cultural demonstrations.

Some examples of these actions are donation of equipments for the improvement of public health, food donations to charities, support for cultural and social projects.

As an example of the company's focus on cultural and environmental issues is the "Student Award 2011 Seara," which started in 1993, and will be reedited this year, which aims at promoting scientific research and artistic creation in public primary schools, involving a total of approximately 4,000 (four thousand) students . The central theme of the project is to turn recyclable material into art objects, that is, to combine environmental awareness with artistic skills.

In addition, the company has recently introduced the idea of Sustainable Development (SD), seeking to conciliate economic development with environmental preservation. To this end, it has encouraged selective garbage collection and participated in the uptake of empty pesticide containers near sorting centers with trained people, where plastic bags are sent to be turned into a series of new products such as pipes for electric wires, trash bags, flower pots, cleaning buckets, crates for bottles, park benches, etc.

Another important project to be developed soon is the housing project for employees who do not own their own houses. The project should meet initially eighty-eight families, and has been undertaken in partnership with Caixa Economica Federal.

Seara recently received the "Selo Verde" – Green Stamp – the certificate of "Destaque Ambiental " – Environmental Highlight – , by the Jornal do Meio Ambiente de São Paulo, a result of its commitment to the well being and natural preservation evident in several actions. These are attitudes of a company that prioritizes the human being and the society in which they live.
